Cuti Sekolah Disember 2010

Tahun ini ada sedikit kelainan....

Pada masa yang sama dalam tahun sebelum ini, saya sudah pun selesaikan tugas menyediakan takwim sekolah dan jadual agihan tugas yang lain.. Selepas kertas Fizik SPM, saya sudah pun membuat persiapan untuk menanda kertas Fizik. Beli barang seperti pen, pensel san sebagainya untuk team saya. Seminggu lepas itu adalah mesyuarat dengan Ketua Pemeriksa dan kemudian pula mesyuarat dengan team sendiri. Sejak dari tahun 2003 menjadi Ketua Pasukan itulah rutin saya setiap tahun sehingga SPM 2009.

Setelah menjadi Pengetua mulai 16 Jun 2009, saya mengambil keputusan dengan berat hati untuk melepaskan tugas yang amat saya sayang ini.. Saya khuatir dengan komitmen sebagai Pengetua saya tidak dapat menjalankan tugas Ketua Pasukan dan Pengetua sekali gus dengan efektif. Yang akan menjadi mangsa adalah isteri dan anak-anak yang sedikit terabai.

Tahun ini mesyuarat peperiksaan adalah di Hotel Oriental Crystal Kajang!! - dekat dengan rumah di Sg. Jelok. Saya akan cuba berjumpa dengan kawan-kawan lama. Cikgu Ahmad, Burhanuddin (Bob), Kak Jamilah. Di samping itu, Khalili, Md Khir, Zainal Terengganu, En.Azhan, LPM dan lain-lain.

I will really miss that part of my life......I hope i can make this up by spending more time with my family. I am thinking of making an adventure trip ....getting to know places in Negeri Sembilan!!

Savour the moment.

In my parting shot during the school weekly assembly, yesterday, I asked the students to savour every moment they have while they are in SM Teknik Dato' Lela Maharaja, Rembau. All this while they may be thinking that life goe on  as usual. They will meet thier friends, teachers and other staff members of the school. They will look at the same buildings and places, everyday, as if it will be there indefinitely for them.. What they will soon realised is that one day they will have to saya goodbye to all this. Then, the regrets or remorse will suddenly flood them. How I wish if I could ........
By savouring every moment that we have with our friends and teachers, we will learn to appreciate people and our surroundings more. Subsequently, there is less tendency for indiscipline or destructive behaviour, especially during the last few weeks before leaving the school.

TO ALL MY FORM 5 STUDENTS:
Best wishes for the coming SPM exam. Your teachers and I will be around in school during the exam weeks. please feel free to consult us if you have any problems.

Publisiti Sekolah

Tahun hadapan, 2011 tiada pengambilan untuk kursus kejuruteraan - Civil, Mechanical dan Electrical. Maka pengambilan untuk kursus vokasional perlu ditambahkan. Sekolah telah diarahkan untuk menjalankan langkah-langkah perlu bagi meningkatkan enrolmen pada tahun hadapan. Program "outreach" masih berejalan di bawah kelolaan Kaunselor sekolah. Guru dan murid juga diminta uar-uarkan kepada sesiapa sahaja tentang SMT Dato'Lela Maharaja, Rembau dan kursus-kursus yang ditawarkan.

Saya sebagai Pengetua juga mengambil peluang bercakap dan mengedarkan risalah tentang sekolah. usaha terbaru ialah meletakkan iklan di laman facebook saya. Saya meminta yang mengenali dalam facebook supaya menampalkan iklan itu di wall facebook masing-masing. Saya harap ada kawan-kawan, sanak saudara dan anak murid yang sedia membantu. Saya sertakan juga dalam blog ini gambar iklan yang saya buat dengan power-point.

GAMBAR PENGETUA

Mesyuarat Pengetua SMT

Mesyuarat Pengetua SM Teknik dan Vokasional  di Hotel Gold Course Klang yang bermula pada 1 Nov telah berakhir tadi jam 12.30 tgh, 4 Nov 2010.

Agenda utama ialah perkongsian TRANSFORMASI VOCTECH oleh Pengarah Bahagian Teknik dan Vokasional, Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia, Tuan Hj. Ahmad Tajuddin b. Jab. Mesyuarat kali juiga diadakan berama-sama dengan Penolong Kanan H.E.M.

Seronok juga dapat berjumpa dengan kawan-kawan lama dan membuat kawan-kawan yang. baru.

Banyak perkara yang hendak dilakukan di sekolah dan ada kurang dari 9 hari sebelum cuti sekolah bermula. Cuti Hari Raya Haji adalah pada 17 Nov 2010. Sekolah akan meminta supaya pelajar dicutikan awal memandangkan ada 2 hari sahaja hari persekolahan selepas cuti raya itu. SPM bertulis adalah pada hari Selasa, 23 Nov.. Saya hanya boleh berharap Penolong Kanan dan yang lain-lain sudah siap takwim dan perancangan untuk tahun hadapan.

Graduasi

Hari Sabtu ini ada 2 majlis graduasi yang saya tahu.
Majlis Graduasi di SMKA Pedas dan Majlis Graduasi SM Teknik Kajang.

Yang di Pedas memang dijemput tetapi saya tidak dapat hadir kerana balik bercuti di Kajang. Majlis di Kajang pula saya tidak diundang. Almaklumlah sudah lama meninggalkan sekolah (~ 3 bulan). Tapi jika diundangkan seronok...dapat berjumpa kawan-kawan dan anak murid. Tahun ini majlis graduasi di buat di Institut KWSP di BB Bangi. Baguslah tuu...sentiasa ada penambahbaikan. Syabas Teknik Kajang.

Insyaallah, saya akan cuba perkenalkan di SM Teknik Rembau pula pada tahun hadapan.

Bulan Puasa

Hari ini, Jumaat masuk hari ke-3 puasa.
Di SM Teknik Dato'Lela Maharaja Rembau aktiviti berjalan seperti biasa. Pagi jumaat pelajar baca surah Yasin dalam perhimpunan pagi. Kali ini majlis bermula sebelum 7.15 pagi lagi. Ini adalah suatu perubahan yang baik. Sebelum ini 7.25 pagi pun belum tentu boleh mula sebab pelajar turun lewat. Terima kasih kepada para waden yang bertindak membetulkan keadaan.
Disebabkan banyk sangat  pengumuman yang dibuat oleh cikgu-cikgu Abu Zaid, Sarmila dan Yusni (PK Kokurikulum), perhimpunan berlarutan sehingga 7.50 pagi. Hai...kadang-kadang cikgu-cikgu pun kena diingatkan tentang time management.

Lepas rehat akan diadakan penyusunan kerusi dan meja untuk peperiksaan percubaan SPM. Ini adalah di bawah kelolaaan En.Zaini, SU Peperiksaan Dalam. Harap semua berjalan lancar.

Back Home

Ahhh..there is nothing better than being back home again. The week in Rembau was hectic to say the least....even though to an outsider the school seems to be running at a slow pace.

The week ended with the support staff meeting which took about 2 hours. This is the first time the Pengetua got to meet the all supporting staff in one go. A few important decisions were made and generally it was widely accepted.

Now, next week will be the warden's meeting plus a get together involving the wardens and the Dewan Makan workers.

Good Intentions

So....it was with good intentions that we planned our "Program Intensif Cuti Sekolah Fasa 2" We want the Form 5 students to be reminded constantly of "the all important" SPM examinations. They have just completed their mid year exam last week. To maintain the momentum, we want to follow it up with this holiday program.

It started nicely, yesterday, Friday, 4th June 2010. Then, around 4 pm the Boss called. He queried about he program....whether everything was running smoothly. I replied that i was in school yesterday and the first slot was running OK. Soon after he delivered the bomb. The program for tomorrow must be canceled. Apparently, the NUTP (National Union of the Teaching Profession) had rang-up the Boss and enquired about the program being held during a public holiday ( Agong's Birthday).

We knew about the public holiday, earlier but had decided to continue because having a day off from a 4-days program would disturb the rhythm. Having it on other days in the 2 weeks holiday duration was also unpopular with every party concerned.

I felt sorry for those teachers who have prepared meticulously for this holiday program.. Some had arranged for expert teachers to give a talk to the students. These teachers are really hard to get. I understand very much my teacher's dissapointment about the cancellation.

The Boss and I would probably have a tough time explaining the decision to some teachers. The last thing we want are teachers losing their morale over this episode.

Is this a lesson about good intentions being misconstrued as abuse of teacher's rights or showing disrespect to the YDP Agong?.......Figure it out yourself.

SPM results Out!!

Congratulations are in order to the Boss, teachers and students because SM Teknik Kajang did well to turn the tide from last year's SPM 2008 abysymal performance.
The school's gred purata has increased fro 5.60 to 4.98 and we managed to hold on to the "100% lulus" title for BM. The BM teachers are a tenacious lot with a never-say-die attitude led by the "kecik-kecik cili api" Noorini Suid. She and her team have a more uphill task this year to shape up the Kemahiran boys to sit for the BM paper at the end of 2010.
Panitia Bahasa Melayu, English, Pendidikan moral and Lukisan Kejuruteraan emerged on top as the panitia that break all 3 records in terms of percentage of passes., gred purata as well as the number of A's scored.
More work ahead... you guys!!
Now..let's see whether i can pinjam some photos for this blog of mine.

No time...lah. I've been spending time with my facebook only.
